Big Mountain Stone™ was born right here in the mountains of West Virginia. Our stone comes from our family's land on Big Mountain near Romney, West Virginia—a place where generations of natural weathering have created stone with remarkable color, texture, character, and strength. What started with an appreciation for the stone beneath our feet grew into something much bigger: a vision to share an authentic piece of Appalachia with homeowners, landscapers, designers, builders, and craftsmen throughout our region.

At Big Mountain Stone™, we don't believe natural stone should look mass-produced. Every piece has its own character. Our stone ranges from warm mountain tones and rich rose and orange hues to striking whites, dark accents, quartz-rich surfaces, natural moss and lichen, and occasional crystal formations. No two pieces are exactly alike—and that's exactly the point.

We produce and hand-select natural stone for patios, walkways, walls, stepping stones, landscape features, fire pits, water features, boulders, benches, and one-of-a-kind statement pieces. We can also sort and fabricate stone for specific applications, allowing us to work directly with contractors and customers to help find the right material for their projects.

But Big Mountain Stone™ is about more than selling stone. We're building a company around relationships, accessibility, and pride in where our products come from. We want contractors to be able to tell us what they need. We want homeowners to come see and touch the stone for themselves. And we want the finished project to carry something that simply can't be replicated by an imported, manufactured product.
